NOV 30 Grand Opening!

Nov 30, 2013

Midtown Holiday Studio Tours (10 a.m. to 9 p.m.)

TurnUp Studios will have its Grand Opening on November 30th during the Midtown Holiday Studio Tours.

On November 30th, TurnUp Studios will open up their doors to the community for the first time.  The Grand Opening will coincide with Small Business Day, Stray At Home, and the bi-annual Midtown Holiday Studio Tours. TurnUp Studios is located directly across the street from the Stray At Home HQ building at 155 Wesley Avenue.

This event is free and open to the public, 10am until 9pm.

Like several other buildings in the Midtown Arts District, TurnUp Studios has rehabbed an unused space into a constant aroma of creativity.  The space is run by Clay Hardwick, artist and filmmaker, who has a studio there along with daniel johnson, relational artist, musician, and painter, and Jamie Weems, musician and member of several area bands.

The walls of the studio will be stocked high with the latest paintings by Clay Hardwick and daniel johnson. Jamie will curate an impressive lineup of Jackson musicians all throughout the day at various times.
