“HAk” drawing series

These are some new pen drawings I’ve been working on.  I’m referencing Anime series to originate a series of lines which I then base a drawing off of.  These are 4×6in cards in a series.

New drawing (BananaPaper)

Here is a drawing I did in Merida, Yucatan this summer during my art class there. I have a few more that I will add soon as well. Make sure to check out my “VISTAZO DE MEXICO” posting where you can view tons of photos from my travels as well as a video soon.

Watercolor/Ink > Animate

I am curious as to what to do now…

Using watercolors and ink, I have been creating lots of these abstracted mutilations of nature/man, chaos/structure, etc. I now want to figure out a way to take these (or rather new ones I will do in the future) and animate them in video. This will mainly used in a series of videos I have to create for Adv.Studio art class at Millsaps. I dream of combing video in narrative film format with an actor that discovers/experiences a new world full of colorful, organic, lovely things, which will be the composition of the animation of these watercolor/ink pieces. If you have any ideas, please comment!

My plan at the moment is to scan in the watercolors, one color at a time, scan in the lines, one line at a time… them arrange them in a composition on the computer in many layers instead of doing the whole thing in one flat piece on paper. … I don’t know… we’ll see.
